RCWA 19.36.140 states:

  • ORAL AGREEMENTS OR ORAL COMMITMENTS TO LOAN MONEY, EXTEND CREDIT, OR TO FORBEAR FROM ENFORCING REPAYMENT OF A DEBT ARE NOT ENFORCEABLE UNDER WASHINGTON LAW.

Docutech has added this “Oral Agreement Statement” towards the end of Cx514 “WA Deed of Trust Second” to conform with Cx25327 “3048 WA Deed of Trust 2021,” Cx26165 “FHA WA Deed of Trust 2021,” and Cx1367 “HELOC Deed of Trust – WA.”

These changes are available for testing on Stage & Stage 2 servers and will take effect on September 3, 2025. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Client Support at 1.800.497.3584.
