Document Updates: Trigger for Witness Signature Lines on 3049 WV Deed of Trust 2021 (Cx25328) and FHA WV Deed of Trust 2021 (Cx26166)

In accordance with W. Va. Code § 39-1-2, witness signatures are not required on a security instrument if the document is properly notarized. Additionally, Fannie Mae’s instructions for the West Virginia Security Instrument permit the removal of witness signature lines when not needed.

To support this flexibility, Docutech has updated the following documents:

• 3049 WV Deed of Trust 2021 (Cx25328)
• FHA WV Deed of Trust 2021 (Cx26166)

These documents have been enhanced to allow suppression of the Witness lines by setting “Print Witness Lines on Security Instrument” (FI 95509) to “No”.
