Oregon House Bill 2029 (2023) states in part:

SECTION 1. ORS 205.232 is amended to read:

205.232. Except as provided in ORS 205.327, a county clerk shall not accept any instrument for recording unless the text of the instrument is typed, written or printed in [8-point] 10-point type or larger on paper that is not larger than 14 inches long and 8-1/2 inches wide and which paper is of sufficient quality for recording photographically.”

At this time, Docutech is updating fonts to at least 10-point in the following documents:

      • Cx43 – Manufactured Home Affixation Affidavit
      • Cx504 – OR Deed of Trust Second
      • Cx1370 – HELOC Deed of Trust – OR
      • Cx1546 – OR Assignment of Deed of Trust
      • Cx1701 – Loan Modification Agreement – Fixed
      • Cx4343 – OR Assignment from MERS
      • Cx4489 – OR Assignment – INV BLANK
      • Cx4888 – Loan Modification Agreement – ARM
      • Cx10514 – Loan Modification Agreement – ARM
      • Cx10515 – Loan Modification Agreement – Fixed
      • Cx19395 – FHA OR Deed of Trust
      • Cx25316 – 3038 OR Deed of Trust 2021

This statute change becomes effective January 1, 2024, however, a timeline for stage testing the documents listed above will be announced at a much earlier date on Docutech’s Compliance website at https://compliance.docutech.com/.
